Assistant Program Director

Gain experience and training in learning how to run a youth program! This position will assist and shadow the Program Director in day-to-day activities/responsibilities of the program throughout the week. Duties will include communications, administration, behind the scenes work, networking, PR, errands, helping run team meetings, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
Assistant Program Director must be available for full work week (8am–4pm). They must also be highly organized, motivated, and responsible. This position requires strong leadership skills and dependability. For more information, email info@mainidea.org.
Team Counselor

Our summer Counselors get to experience each art form with their group of students throughout the week! Counselors are responsible for supervising and accompanying groups of approx. 10 students to different art classes throughout the week. Counselors focus on building relationships with and keeping their kids safe through the course of the program.
QUALIFICATIONS

Art Teacher

Art Teachers create curriculums for groups of approx. 10 students per day for their particular art class. 1-2 Art Teachers is needed for each art class: Visual Art, Music, Creative Drama, Dance, and Creative Writing. Classes are taught in four 45-minute blocks/day (repeated to a different group each day of the week), and may include a variety of different styles or mediums. Curriculums are made in advanced, materials provided through Main IDEA.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be available for entirety of work hours. Art Teachers must have extensive experience in their relative field. They must also enjoy working with and be able to teach children! Administration Team

Administrative Teammates are responsible for running check-out for students at the end of each day of the program, and overseeing lunch/recess/break times. Responsibilities include: welcoming/greeting families and children, communicating with parents, data entry, organizing, filing, supervision, overseeing and participating in outdoor/indoor activities, setting up/tearing down games and materials, helping set up/clean up lunch time, actively participating in games, building relationships, supervision, etc.

Van Driver

Van Drivers are responsible for pick-up/drop-off of students who reside in Main South and have applied for our transportation service. Duties include: driving a 15-passenger van, picking up/dropping off students, ensuring student safety, filling out necessary paperwork each day.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be available full week of program during pick-up (8am–9:30am) and drop-off (3–4pm). They must be responsible, have high energy, and enjoy working with kids! For more information, email info@mainidea.org.
